Champions Arena beginner guide
This is a 2023–2025 archive of the help-center rules. Official downloads no longer exist, so treat every system below as historical unless a newer public post says otherwise.
Account and device
Open the game as a guest if you only want to look. When you are ready to keep the roster, go to Settings, then Account, and link a Gala login. Linking is what the help article says unlocks NFT champions and minting, and it is also the backup. The same article says you cannot transfer that progress onto a second login.
Getting Started asks for Android 6+, 4 GB RAM, and a phone in the Galaxy 8 class, or iOS/iPadOS 12+. Storage listed there is 2 GB. It also says some purchases exist only on mobile. The download page is why a new phone cannot fetch the app in 2026.
How a fight works
Decrypt's review and the trailer show a 4v4 fight. Each turn you play cards. Two 1-star cards of a matching color combine into a 2-star card. Card color has to match the champion's alliance: red Destruction, yellow Harmony, blue Prosperity. Roles in the public writeups are tank, damage, and healer.
I am not reprinting skill multipliers. They are not in the help articles.
Summon, level, estate, pass
Summons happen at the Altar of Champions. Premium summons offer a champion. Normal summons offer a Soul Stone or a champion. The chance table is the Summoning Chance control at the lower left of that screen. I do not copy percentages that were only drawn inside the app.
Leveling spends gold and champion XP. Every 20 levels also asks for lapis. Promotion spends Soul Stones and lapis. Promotion raises the level cap, but the help article says reward rarity still follows the original rarity, not the promoted one.
Estates hold the castle, the trade market, and the altar. Building caps follow the castle level. A guild member who leaves waits 24 hours. The battle pass is a paid track of missions; gems can buy levels. Paid tracks have included Valsharah, Akumu, and Argos. GALA itself only comes from Arena Victory Points, settled at 03:00 UTC, and the litepaper requires at least one NFT or NFTR on the team.
If you are arriving in 2026, read the sunset note before you spend anything. Mode rules live on the modes page.
Questions
Can I play as a guest?
Yes, the help article says a guest login is enough to try the game. NFT use, minting, and a progress backup start after you link a Gala account in Settings.
Can progress move to another account?
No. The link article says progress belongs to that Gala account and cannot be moved.
What phone did it ask for?
Getting Started lists Android 6 or newer, 4 GB of RAM, a Galaxy 8 class device, iOS or iPadOS 12 or newer, and at least 2 GB of storage. PC features were limited.
